You may know how Justin Bieber balls at the Omaha Mall, but the Beliebers at the West Edmonton Mall in Canada on Saturday were ready to show the 16-year-old pop star how they roll. The singer was swarmed by droves of screaming fans this weekend, and eventually had to ask them to back off himself.
Justin recently kicked off the second leg of his 'My World' tour, and landed in his home country on Saturday for his Sunday Edmonton show at Rexall Place and tonight's performance at Calgary's Pengrowth Saddledome. The Bieb made a pit stop at the West Edmonton mall where he ate at a Hooters restaurant and stopped to take a picture with the waitresses.
"None of the (servers) really got to talk to him. He was surrounded by his fans," waitress Tania Biggar told the Winnepeg Sun. "That's how we knew he was coming in, it was all 14-year-old girls. And they all kind of move as one."
The Beliebers reportedly filled Bourbon Street, one of the mall's food courts, and while Justin didn't stay at the restaurant for very long, his backup singers lingered and serenaded their servers.
"Felt good surprising everyone at the Edmonton Buyout today," Justin wrote on his Facebook. "Thanks for all the support. Found my backup singers Legaci singing to the giiirls at Hooters too. Nice one boys...LOVE CANADA!"
But when JB tried to leave the mall, the girls were so persistent in following him that the singer had to personally ask his fans to stop. Justin posted a video of the action today, joking with his security guard that he knows how to keep everything under control.
"This made me laugh," he wrote along with the clip. "Just had to show it to Kenny Hamilton and let him know I'm handling security from now on. Me and the ladies got this. we got an understanding. Kenny you can go chill out and relax buddy. lol."
Watch the video below. If you saw Justin at your mall, would you follow him around, too? Or do you think he should be left to do his thing in peace?
