'Life Unexpected': Is Cate Preggers?

Last week I caught up with the fabulous Shiri Appleby, who plays newlywed and newly fired Cate on Life Unexpected. Now that Cate's settling into married life and a new position at the radio station, could a baby be the next major change in her life? Just listen to what Shiri told me.

"I think kids could probably be an issue," Shiri spills about Cate and Ryan's relationship. "It's something that married people talk about. It's one of the reasons why people get married. So, I might be throwing on the pregnancy suit at some point."
How will Lux react to sharing Cate after not knowing her mom for 16 years? Well, Lux may be too wrapped up in her own love bubble to fully freak out. Eric Daniels (Shaun Sipos) is a hottie new teacher at Lux's school. Too bad she met him before classes started, and let him believe she was older than 16. Sparks flew and Shiri spills that those flames will continue to flicker.

"I call him Melrose on set all day," Shiri says about Shaun, who formerly starred as David Breck on Melrose Place.

"[Lux and Eric] do have a connection besides the fact that it's that forbidden thing. They actually do connect, and she's definitely much more of an old soul than her 16 years. As far as I know, as of [episode seven], Cate and Ryan and Baze are all in the dark about it."

"I think he's definitely going to be someone that she's going to lean on, and need for support and help and guidance through the year, especially because Cate and Ryan and Baze are kind of wrapped up in their own things. She's going to need someone to help her work through things."

In between takes, Shiri tells me that she's studying for a degree in psychology and also making fun behind-the-scenes videos of the cast and crew. Check them out here. Plus, see a sneak peek of tonight's episode below.
