Around this time last year, A Rocket to the Moon had just released their new album, 'On Your Side.' Now the Massachesetts rockers are ready to unveil their new EP, 'The Rainy Day Sessions,' which features an awesome cover of Beyonce's 'Single Ladies.'

Although the original features that unforgettable R&B flair, A Rocket to the Moon has taken things down a notch with their acoustic version of the smash single. The boys get a little help on the vocal side of things, though. The song, like the others on the EP, features the female bluegrass group Larkin Poe.
The mellow tempo of the song is a bit of the change from group's 'On Your Side' single, 'Mr. Right,' but we like the softer side of the four-piece. As for the title of the EP, the band says it was inspired by the rain that hit the roof of the studio during their recording process -- they even taped the sound and added it to the songs on the record!

Listen to 'Single Ladies' below. 'The Rainy Day Sessions' EP will be available exclusively through iTunes, beginning October 5. What do you think of A Rocket to the Moon's cover? Do you think Beyonce would be proud?
