We've been following the Generation Next finalists over the summer, posting designer bios and their inspiration boards and now it's finally time for a winner to be revealed!
The fashion show is happening tonight in Los Angeles, California and you can watch all the action go down because the event is being streamed live on their FB page at facebook.com/oneillgirls. Then text your vote for who you think the winner should be!
There is a lot on the line for the five finalists as the winner will get an internship at the design offices of O'Neill, a $5,000 college scholarship, a feature in Teen Vogue and their look will be manufactured and sold in PacSun stores. We got our hands on their CADs (Computer-aided Designs) that they created during the competition. Check them out below.
Alee told us she she's a fan of Forever 21 and describes her style as chic, vintage and bohemian. She's into leather jackets, which is something we totally see her pairing with her cute floral dress. Fun fact about Alee: besides designing, Alee is also into performing, "Musical theater, that's the second most thing I like to do."
Brianna definitely nailed the bohemian, vintage look she was going for. We're really like her color choices and we're also excited to see what accessories she uses since she told us, "I always have to have something that ties all of my pieces together. I always have either bracelets or a necklace."
Danielle told us her style was chic classy and cute and that she really loves photography and listening to music, rap to be specific. She also gets up in the middle of the night and sketches if she comes up with a really sweet idea. We wonder if this cute pale pink and gray look was a middle-of-the-night idea!
Monica told us she likes her look to be unique and different. Hence, the tiger. But we think it's really cool. She also loves wearing her grandmother's accessories. "She passed away two years ago and she handed me and my sister down her purses and accessories and I like wearing a simple outfit with her bags."
Taylor's style is 'girlie, but not too girle' and she's also into the surfer girl look. "Sometimes my ideas come at random," she told us. "I sometimes zone out and listen to a song and be like "Man, that would be a cool outfit" and I just start sketching things down like an idea."
