On Saturday, the finalists in O'Neill's 3rd Annual Generation Next went head-to-head at a blowout fashion show at the Avalon in Hollywood, Calif. All five girls created awesome ensembles, but in the end, Monica Santos took home top prize.

Drawing inspiration from her late grandmother, the La Palma native's slate grey tiger print romper and fringed tribal handbag received the most text message votes, winning her a $5,000 scholarship and a brand new O'Neill wardrobe.

As you know from the designer bios we posted, Monica faced some tough competition from Alee, Brianna, Danielle and Taylor. Their hard work was the result of a six-month internship with the O'Neill design team in which the girls created an original dress or romper and handbag with the help of their mentors.

Over 1,200 students, media and celebs were on hand to celebrate the finalists and Monica's win, including stars like Booboo Stewart, Ariel Winter, Sasha Pieterse, and featuring music by The Like. That's some crowd! Take another look at the winning ensemble here. Congratulations, Monica!
