Is a Leading Character About To Be Killed Off 'Vampire Diaries?'
There's new blood coming to Mystic Falls.
Lauren Cohan will play Rose, a 500 year old vampire who's tough, but still has a charming side that causes Damon to take notice. Here's the thing: Rose is kind of a big deal, not just Damon's fling of the moment. She'll appear on this season's eighth episode airing Nov. 4, and it's called -- you guessed it -- "Rose."
The play callers at Vampire Diaries aren't afraid to give anyone the ax. Remember Vicki? She was last season's main character who was never to be seen or heard from again. Could Rose's invasion be a tell-tale sign that someone big could soon be the victim of foul play?
According to E!, yes. They report, "The Vampire Diaries will be killing off one of its characters. And it won't be the Jeremy-got-his-neck-snapped-but-was-wearing-a-magic-ring kind of death. This one will be for good. The character will be no more. And the actor will no longer be working on the show."
Is it bye-bye Uncle Mason already? He's our first guess, but take a look at Cambio's full list of possibilities here.
The show's producer is promising that Katherine "goes super, super game-changer in the next episode and just starts wreaking havoc. You think that she already topped out, but it's just the beginning."
Whatever Katherine does, it's really, really bad. In a preview clip below of upcoming episodes, Stefan, Damon, Jeremy, and Alaric team up to try and kill her.
Jeremy consoles his crying sister by saying, "She's gonna pay, Elena. I don't know how but she's gonna pay."
Somehow we doubt their "kill Katherine" mission will be successful. After all, how boring would that be?
