As we previously reported, Justin Bieber allegedly punched a boy during a game of laser tag in Canada, but while Justin may have been the one who was harassed, the father of the 12-year-old who he allegedly assaulted has filed a formal complaint against the pop star. But what does this mean? Is the Bieb really in trouble?

According to Billboard, the formal complaint was filed with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. It's not clear whether they have launched a further investigation of the incident that occurred last Friday at Planet Lazer, but it's possible that they could decide to drop the entire case overall.
According to the RCMP, the 12-year-old boy reportedly "sustained minimal injuries and did not require medical attention." So we're not sure how much weight the complaint has. Plus, at this point, it's hard to know what kind of consequences Justin faces because no charges have been made. If the singer were charged with something like assault, then it's possible that he could face serious punishments, but again, everything is still up in the air.

This isn't Justin's only run-in with the law -- the pop star angered a police officer in Maryland after hitting him below the belt with a water balloon. However, JB's bodyguard diffused the situation and convinced the cop not to take the Bieb away in handcuffs. What do you think about this laser tag incident? Do you think Justin really punched the boy or is his family trying to take advantage of Bieber's celebrity? %Poll-54424%
