In 'Dear John,' Taylor Swift wrote, "My mother accused me of losing my mind." We're assuming Taylor's mom said that after learning her daughter was dating bad-boy John Mayer -- and hello -- Mrs. Swift's probably saying the same thing now that Taylor's playing flirty-flirt with Jake Gyllenhaal.

Despite their 9 year age difference, the two have been spotted on cutesy dates all over New York. First they went apple picking in Hopewell Junction, N.Y. Sounds like Taylor's perfect first date, no?
Next the duo cheered on Taylor's pal Emma Stone at SNL, and the following day enjoyed a brunch together in Brooklyn with another couple.

Could this relationship be material for Taylor's next album? On Speak Now -- just released this week -- Taylor's rumored to have penned songs about her flings with Cory Monteith, John Mayer, and Taylor Lautner. Well, if you hear a lyric about apple picking, you'll know who she's referencing.

Despite being caught alone with Jake, Taylor insists she's not on the hunt to find a new boyfriend. Good, because this Jake/Taylor thing weirds us out. In the love department, he's best known for dating Reese Witherspoon, and would be photographed often hanging out with the actress and her two kids. That gives us the vibe that he's ready to settle down and start a family -- something we think Taylor's way too young for.

"Being single is wonderful and I love it," the 20-year-old singer confesses. "I don't ever have a morning where I wake up and say, 'I really need to find a boyfriend today.'"

She continues, "I love going on dates and getting to know people. For me, love is something I occasionally make an exception for if it feels right. I don't search it out. I just think that if I'm supposed to meet someone, I will." %Poll-55002%
