Does 'The Big Bang' Video Starring Miley Cyrus Live Up to Its Hype?
In June, Miley Cyrus was spotted filming scenes for a top secret project along with Gossip Girl star Kevin Zegers and just a few weeks ago, we saw a teaser that piqued our interest. But now it's confirmed that 'The Big Bang' is actually a new music video for the production group Rock Mafia.
Even though Just Jared Jr. knew exactly what the project was all about, fans were still confused by all the hype. The trailer didn't help either. When we asked JSYK readers what they thought, 29 percent of you thought it was a music video, 12 percent of you thought it was a PSA, 28 percent of voters guessed it was a mini-movie and 30 percent didn't have a clue as to what 'The Big Bang' could be.
The group finally unveiled the finished product on Monday, but we're not sure it lives up to all the hoopla. Sure, the video is cool and the song is really catchy, but was it really worth the wait? Maybe the real mystery is: who is Rock Mafia?
Their website simply says they're a "music powerhouse that has collaborated with Miley and a number of other top recording artists." What we do know is that Miley backs them, they remixed her single, 'See You Again,' and their new single sounds like Maroon 5.
"Rock Mafia is my family and there's nothing that means more than creating with them," Miley said. "The video is unique and honestly, was a life-changing experience. This song means a lot to me."
