"I think the '20s would have been a phenomenal time for Damon," Ian Somerhalder dishes about his Vampire Diaries character. Hanging around with flapper girls? Yup, we can picture that.
"It would be really cool to see him in some Speakeasy, sipping bourbon with some amazing turn-of-the-century character. Or I could see Damon in the '60s having an affair with Marilyn Monroe or Kate Hepburn," he says.
Rubbing elbows with President Kennedy? Why not? "I just think he hung out with cool people. I would love to see Damon at a Rolling Stones concert in 1969, too," the Louisiana native continues. That's how Ian envisions Damon's past, but here's the flashbacks we want to see for bro Stefan.
Damon's not the only one making friends with flashy people. While he's busy having affairs with Hollywood beauties like Marilyn Monroe, Stefan would be buds with The Beatles. In the next decade, the sweeter Salvatore would definitely be arm-in-arm with an Elena look-alike at Woodstock humming along to tunes about peace and love. Fast forward to the '80s and instead of a Rolling Stones concert, Stefan would be front-row watching Bret Michaels. This vamp is a tough guy with a soft side, so he'd mix well with this rocker who's known for a love song or two.
