By now you've probably already heard the bummer news that the CW hasn't ordered any new episodes of Life Unexpected. But that doesn't mean the show is canceled. If they keep pulling in viewers, LUX could return in the Fall.
"Our ratings have been going up and we feel really confident in our last two episodes of the season," LUX star Britt Robertson tells me.
Although everyone on Team Life Unexpected is still optimistic about the future, the last episode of this season could mark the series finale, so the writers have a major task ahead of them figuring out how to conclude storylines.
"The last episode wraps up the season in a really, really great way...All of the relationships sort of tie together in the last episode in hopes for a season three of course, but it wraps up season two pretty well."
The majority of LUX die-hards are rooting for Cate and Baze to end up together. Britt isn't revealing that spoiler, but did say, "I think their relationship will be where it should be, and think that the fans will be really happy with the choices the writers have made between the two of them."
What about Cate and her rocky marriage to Ryan? "It's not always love and bliss," the 20-year-old said. "There are some throw downs...It is what it is. It's a dysfunctional relationship that hopefully will be sorted out in the proper way."
It's do or die time, so get the word out and tell your mom, neighbor, teacher, sister, and mailman to watch Life Unexpected. It airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on the CW, so go set your DVR. Go, go, go!
Oh, and PS, if you're wondering about Lux and Eric, here's the dirt. "They're doing what they can to keep the relationship going as long as possible," Britt dishes. "They'll continue on that path at least for another couple episodes until some drama kicks in...There are some circumstances that lead to a blowup." Ka-boom.
Take a peek at next Tuesday's episode "Homecoming Crashed."
