Darren Criss is officially going to be a Glee series regular, and has signed on to finish out Season Two and beyond. This isn't just exciting news for Gleeks, it's going to open up a whole slew of possibilities for Kurt, too. But what exactly is in store for our beloved Hummel?

"Darren has become such a sensation in one week, which I love," Ryan Murphy said at the 39th Gala for the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center.

"I think there's a hunger for him and a positive relationship role model," he added. "He'll definitely continue through the year and longer. We just signed a deal with him..."

We love the friendship that's brewing between Blaine and Kurt, and can't wait to hear more home-run performances from Darren like his cover of Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream.' But while rumors are that Blaine and Kurt will become an item down the line, Ryan says that may not be in the cards.
"That I have not decided," he admitted about the potential romance between the openly gay characters. "We're writing it. I want to see what people's reaction to that is. Part of me thinks he should be the boyfriend, part of me thinks he should just be the mentor. I didn't want to decide that until we got into sort of the middle of the season. We're figuring it out now."

Hmm...so we're kind of at a fork in the road. Blaine can either be Kurt's first real love, or someone he really looks up to. We're torn! What do you think? Should Darren be Kurt's boyfriend or mentor? If you were writing the script, which way would you go? %Poll-55927%
