Glee's finally giving up the deets about the major episode airing right after the Super Bowl. There was a lot of buzz that the episode would be another tribute (possibly to Elton John or Bruce Springsteen) but that's not the case. However, Michael Jackson is definitely happening.
"Omg, yes! YES! YES! How can they have Madonna and Gaga, but not THE King of POP?! ahhhhhh! I love glee so much more now =)," a JSYK reader said.
The post-Super Bowl episode will be centered around the local football championship and Cheerios drama. And it's going to be epic. Not just because of the music (which will also include Lady Antebellum, Katy Perry, and more), but because of its hefty price tag. Sources tell Entertainment Weekly it will be the priciest Glee episode yet, and possibly one of the most expensive episodes ever created.
"Thriller" will be covered, but not like you may think. It's going to a mash-up with another song, much like Gwyneth Paltrow's recent "Singing in the Rain" and "Umbrella" performance. What do you think the other song should be? Another MJ hit?
Oh, and Glee executives, you better show us Harry Shum, Jr. busting out his amazing dance moves during "Thriller." We're just saying.
