Keke Palmer has made a name for herself on True Jackson, VP, but the 17-year-old star has just released her new video for 'The One You Call' from her as-yet-untitled new album, and we think it might be time to leave her Nickelodeon show behind.

The video, which Keke conceptualized herself, shows the singer hanging out with her girlfriends while a guy starts blowing up her phone. But the R&B songstress knows what's up -- this player just broke up with his girlfriend and now he's going through his phone to see who will pick up. One thing's for sure, it won't be Keke.
In 2007, the singer/actress released her debut album, 'So Uncool,' but it wasn't the chart-topper that she hoped it would be. Now, the TV star is back with a mature sound and polished video that will likely secure her spot in the R&B world.

Keke has plenty going on with True Jackson, VP and her Wal-mart clothing line inspired by the show, but she also has quite a resume of acting credits, including a role alongside Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton in the new musical movie 'Joyful Noise,' which begins filming in January. Keke will be singing gospel music for the film, showing her musical depth.

So, when her peers like Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are wrapping up their TV series, we think Keke should be next in line. She's has a ton of amazing opportunities ahead of her, and we can't wait to see what happens next.

Check out 'The One You Call' video below. What do you think? Do you like Keke's sound? Or would you rather see her continue with True Jackson, VP?
