The Decatur Central High School football team borrowed a play from Glee when it came time to submit a creative video for a local competition. The players made their own version of the show's cover of Beyonce's 'Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It),' and it was worth all of their efforts.

According to Fox 59, the video was presented at the Marsh Hoosier Classic at Lucas Oil stadium, and the team's rendition was so impressive that it won their Indiana high school $300 in prize money. Kurt would have been so proud! This went down in September, but the video has recently gone viral.
At first, the team's quarterback, Brandon Ledford, was not into the project. "I was like wow. No. I gotta focus on winning some football games," he said.

But the off-the-field win seemed to changed the team's luck. "We were on a two-game losing streak," Brandon added. "After that week we went [to] Lucas Oil and our video was played, and we went on a three-game winning streak."

The video took about three days to complete, and with their newfound talent, the football team is working on a bigger goal: making a Doritos commercial that will compete for air time during the 2011 Super Bowl.

Do they have what it takes? Check out Decatur Central High's 'Single Ladies' video and decide for yourself.
