Sophia Bush really, really wanted to win a Teen Choice Award this year...but not because she wanted a cool surfboard to hang in her living room. The One Tree Hill actress planned to put her board up for auction on CharityBuzz to raise money for those affected by the Gulf Coast oil spill.

"I want to raise as much money as possible...I'll drag it over to Ryan Seacrest's office and shamelessly carry it around to get it signed," she promised.

Ninety percent of you planned on voting for her (that's huge!), and one JSYK reader commented, "That's really nice what Sophia is doing..I think she would deserve to win, too."
Although Sophia lost out to Leighton Meester, she's still continuing her fight to save the environment by teaming up with DoSomething to create a Facebook game called eMission.

"It helps you save energy and protect the environment," Sophia says in a video promoting the app. "Compete with your friends to see who can save the most energy. Reduce carbon in the real world, and score points in the game. That's way better than making a fake farm or pretending to be in the mafia, right?"

Is she right? Are you more interested in this game than FarmVille or Mafia Wars?
