Was the Kindle
on your holiday wish list this year? If so, apparently you weren't the only one who wanted it. Not only did you guys name the nifty E-book reader as the fifth thing you want this year
, but Amazon.com just recently announced
that their third generation Kindle beat J.K Rowling's 'Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows' book as the best-selling product in Amazon history. Crazy right?
On November 29th, 2010, Amazon's peak holiday shopping day, customers bought the Kindle and other items online at a record-breaking 158 items per second.
'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo'
was the most purchased and the most-gifted Kindle book on Christmas Day, according to the online retailer. They also announced that customers bought enough copies of 'Eclipse'
for Edward Cullen to watch the movie 1,000 times a day for all 109 years of his life. Woah!
Did you get or want 'Eclipse' on DVD? Would you rather get your hands on a new Kindle
or the 'Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows'
book? Or wait, here's an idea, how about HP7 ON a Kindle?! J.K. Rowling has to sign over the rights first. Those HP books are pretty hefty though. Let us know in the poll below.
