was the No. 1 app in 2010
and now PlayStation users will be able to get in on all the action when the popular game becomes available for PS3 and PSP this week.
According to Mashable
, Angry Birds will be a PlayStation mini title, which can be downloaded for your handheld or full system. The tech site also says that it will likely be similar to the versions that are available for iOS, Android and Symbian devices, including 63 levels of the physics-based game.
As you know, the game is currently available for iPhone, iPad and Android phones, but Rovio, the maker of the app, is expected to bring the game to Windows Phone 7, Facebook, Xbox and Wii, too. In September, Variety
reported that the developers wanted to take Angry Birds to a whole new level, expanding into a multi-platform brand, including movies, TV shows, toys and comic books.
The free and paid versions of the game have already surpassed over 50 million downloads, so we won't be surprised if the PlayStation mini title becomes a big hit among gamers. Are you a PS3 or PSP user? Do you think you'll download Angry Birds for your console or handheld?
