Justin Bieber Has More Twitter Followers Than Britney Spears. What Will it Take to Beat Gaga?
Justin Bieber has officially passed Britney Spears in number of Twitter followers. He has about 32,000 more followers than the recent 'Glee' guest star. However, the 16-year-old pop singer is still trailing Lady Gaga by over 1 million followers. So, what exactly will it take to push Bieber over the top?
Right now, Justin has 6.5 million devoted followers, while Gaga has 7.6 million. In August, Internet research company Famecount.com said that Justin is the fastest growing account on the Twitter, and, at a rate of almost 800,000 new followers per month, the site estimated that he would surpass Gaga in followers by February.
By that calulation, there's still a chance that Justin could rise above the pop diva sometime next month, but it also might take a little Bieber Fever to help move things along, just like what happened in last year's unofficial video battle between the two stars.
Justin's 'Baby' video and Lady Gaga's 'Bad Romance' video were neck-and-neck in YouTube plays last summer, but after a big effort by Beliebers all over, the Canadian star ended up with over 91 million more views by the end of 2010.
What will you do to help Justin beat Gaga in Twitter followers? Will you start a movement on the micro-blogging site? Post about it on your Facebook page? Let us know how you plan on spreading the word, and let's see if Famecount's February prediction will come true. Post your suggestion in the comments or tweet us @jsykdotcom. %Poll-58244%
