'Teen Mom's' Amber Portwood has faced a slew of legal problems lately -- including felony charges for domestic battery -- and 83 percent of JSYK readers say it's time for her and Gary to quit the show. But judging by the hefty paycheck this high school dropout receives, we doubt that's happening any time soon.
During Amber's recent visit in front of a judge, she was asked to state her occupation and salary. Amber answered by saying she's a television personality and her lawyer requested her income remain a secret.
The Indiana judge demanded Amber state her annual income, and wow, she's earning $280,000 a year. That's $23,333 a month.
Leah was temporarily removed from Amber's care, supposedly in part because Leah didn't even have a proper bed at home. If that's the case, where is all this money going? And if Farrah's receiving close to the same pay day, why is she still working at a pizza place? Is MTV encouraging them to fake their financial struggles as teen moms?
We hope Amber uses her money wisely and pursues a college education -- and sets up a fund for Leah to do the same.
