Animal lovers, be warned -- the following story contains sensitive material. Two Florida teens were arrested for mutilating and killing at least 18 pigeons, which were raised for racing and breeding, reports WTSP.com.

Brothers Randy Corbit, 13, and Cody Corbit, 14, allegedly broke into a neighbor's pigeon coop and killed the birds by stabbing them and slitting their throats. Some pigeons were even decapitated and "carved on."
In some cities, pigeons are considered a nuisance, but according to CFNews13, the area in which the incident occurred, Spring Hill, is one of the largest racing pigeon communities in the country. Over 100 homes in the neighborhood house racing pigeons. The murdered birds were worth about $15,000.

The two teens face felony charges of burglary and cruelty to animals, but have not been charged as adults. They are currently being held in a juvenille detention center.

What do you think about what the boys did? Are you as shocked as we are? Do you think the brothers should go to jail for their actions? %Poll-58592%
