Ashley Greene Steps Into the Spotlight in New 'Skateland' Trailer
Ashley Greene made a name for herself playing Alice Cullen in the 'Twilight' films, but now the 23-year-old star is front-and-center in her new movie, 'Skateland,' due out on March 25.
"I play a character named Michelle Burkham," Ashley tells Moviefone. "You start out seeing her as a girl-next-door character, but as you watch the film you learn she has an edge to her. And that's what I really liked about her; she does have vulnerability and she's compassionate, but she's got a sass about her and she's a very strong character."
In the video, we see the Florida native as the playful, loving girlfriend of a roller rink manager named Ritchie. Ritchie is 19 years old and seemingly living the life, getting paid to hang out with his friends and rage all night. However, the rink is about to close, and it becomes clear that life is not just about partying.
When news of Skateland closing hits, Michelle sees it as an opportunity for change, but this is also a huge source of conflict. Ashley seems just as dramatically charged as she has been in the 'Twilight' series, but this time, we get to see her in a whole new light.
