Listen to the 'Glee' Cast's 'Thriller/Heads Will Roll' Mashup
Last week, we posted new photos from the upcoming Super Bowl episode of 'Glee,' and now you can listen to the cast's buzzed-about mashup of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' and Yeah Yeah Yeahs' 'Heads Will Roll.'
The ambitious song is backed by a track that calls for a serious dance number, and from the pics we've seen, it's clear that New Directions are ready to bring it. It's also obvious that the crew drew inspiration from the King of Pop's cinematic video, as their outfits just as scary as the makeup and wardobe worn in 1983.
In this special episode, the glee club and the football team aren't getting along, so Will and Coach Bieste devise a plan to get the groups to work together. We don't know too much about the halftime show, except that it involves USC's marching band and was "one of the most physical numbers" the cast has ever done, Cory Monteith said.
"I saw them perform the 'Thriller' number and it almost brought tears to my eyes, the lights, the effects, it is incredible what they managed to do," Chris Colfer told Entertainment Tonight (remember, Kurt transferred to Dalton Academy, so he's not in this performance). "There were two ambulances on standby, which is two more ambulances than they usually have. I was so surprised there were no fatalities after that episode because it was insane."
There are still six days left until the Super Bowl episode of 'Glee' airs, but you can listen to 'Thriller/Heads Will Roll' and more exclusive music from the show on GleeTheMusic.com. What do you think of the song? Are you excited for the February 6 episode?
