Glimpse Isle Esme In New 'Breaking Dawn' Image
Attention 'Breaking Dawn' fans, if you're not following the Twilight Saga on Twitter, then you probably didn't see that they posted this Valentine's message yesterday along with a pic from the set of the fourth movie in the franchise: 'Happy Valentine's Day from Isle Esme!'
For non-Twilighters, Isle Esme is the Cullen-owned private island off the coast of Brazil, Rio de Janeiro to be exact, where Edward and Bella spend their honeymoon and some, um... quality alone time. While the pic above is not an official movie still, it does offer fans visual clues about how the island will look in the movie.
In the book, Edward and Bella hang out on the island for a while after they get married and until Edward comes to the conclusion that Bella is now pregnant and they must go back to Forks. The events that take place on Isle Esme could conceivably (no pun intended) become a substantial part of the movie now that the final book is being split into two films.
The scenes should prove exciting for fans because taking the Bella and Edward love story outside of rainy and gray Forks, Washington and putting in in a tropical paradise should be pretty interesting -- Edward in swim trunks? However, the plot development that occurs on the island was arguably some fans' least favorite part of the book.
Now what would have been really genius would have been for Summit to purchase an island and build an actual house where they filmed Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's scenes and then rent the house out for thousands of dollars per night to honeymooning couples hoping to have the perfect Twilight-esque getaway. Would you pay to go there? What do you think of Isle Esme?
