Miley Cyrus has been getting into her fair share of trouble lately, but in a new interview with GQ magazine, the pop star's own father, Billy Ray, says that the 18-year-old is in "danger."

"I'm scared for [Miley]," he says. "She's got a lot of people around her that's putting her in a great deal of danger. I know she's 18, but I still feel like as her daddy I'd like to try to help, at least get her out of danger. I want to get her sheltered from the storm. Stop the insanity just for a minute."
From Miley's pole dancing performance at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards to her recent salvia smoking incident, the former 'Hannah Montana' star has been at the center of plenty of controversy. But Billy Ray is worried that Miley may be headed down a very scary path, mentioning her situation in the same breath as he uses to talk about several deceased celebrities.

"I'm concerned about Miley," he continues. "I think that [Kurt Cobain's] world was just spinning so fast and he had so many people around him that didn't help him. Like Anna Nicole Smith -- you could see that train wreck coming ... Michael Jackson -- I was trying to reach out to Michael Jackson."

Miley's famous father also talks about how he regrets being more of a "friend" than a parent to his daughter, and how he should have stepped in earlier. "Honestly, I didn't know the ball was out of bounds until it was way up in the stands somewhere."

Do you agree that the star is in danger? Or do you think she's trying to turn her image around with her 'Saturday Night Live' hosting gig and other upcoming projects? %Poll-60244%
