Although there have been plenty of PSAs against bullying, it's still happening all over America, and this one is another shocker. According to CBS News, three Ohio teens were arrested for setting their classmate's hair on fire.
Fifteen-year-old Devin Lewis, a student at Middletown High School, was on the school bus listening to music when three bullies started taunting him. One pulled down his hood, another held a flame in front of his face and a third student reportedly lit Devin's hair on fire.
"I felt the heat on the back and somebody blowing my hair," he told WKRC. Other students helped to extinguish the flames. When he touched the back of his head and looked at his hand, he "just saw ashes."
"At first I thought they were just holding the lighter in front of my face," Devin told the Middletown Journal. "They are always lighting lighters on the bus. I never thought someone would set fire to my hair."
According to police, a 17-year-old junior has been charged with aggravated menacing and assault, and a 15-year-old freshman has been charged with aggravated menacing. Another 17-year-old junior has been charged with obstructing official business. The three students have been suspended and may be expelled from school.
