Teen Fractures Skull in a Failed Burglary Attempt

Talk about an epic fail... A Pittsburg, Calif. teen fell and fractured his skull on Wednesday after allegedly trying to break into a gas station, police said.

At about 11:20 p.m., authorities received a call about suspicious activity at Eagle Gas, which was closed at the time. Police and firefighters forced their way in and found an unconscious 16-year-old stuck in a collapsed air duct.

Police believe the teen broke into the gas station through the roof and then crawled through the air ducts when he broke through one and fell. He was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where he was treated for a fractured skull and an injured shoulder, Capt. Brian Addington said.
What's the bottom line? Let us break it down for you:

1. Don't break into a gas station at night --- you'll get arrested for attempted burglary. It's really stupid.

2. Don't squeeze into an air duct, get stuck, fracture your skull and pass out in the process of doing so either. It's pretty hard to live down.

Police are still trying to find out if anyone else was involved in the burglary attempt. What do you think about the 16-year-old's actions? %Poll-60733%
