Just two weeks after Adam Young
posted an online valentine
to Taylor Swift, Owl City
has announced something else that's just as excting. The Minnesota native will release his brand-new album, 'All Things Bright and Beautiful,' on May 17.
Oh, but that's not all. Adam will also be embarking on a headlining tour, beginning on June 13 in Nashville, Tenn. and wrapping up on July 30 in Minneapolis, Minn. That's 28 chances to see the singer-songwriter live in action.
Adam worked super hard on this record -- not only did he write all of the songs, but he produced the entire album himself, too. 'All Things Bright and Beautiful' features twelve new tracks, and was mixed by Adam and Grammy Award-winning engineer and producer Jack Joseph Puig, who has worked with the likes of Beck, Green Day and John Mayer.
Since releasing 'Ocean Eyes' in July 2009, Owl City has released little new music, aside from his Christmas single, 'Peppermint Winter,' and the inspired rendition of T-Swift's song 'Enchanted.' Adam did, however, create a new project called Sky Sailing, releasing 'An Airplane Carried Me to Bed' in 2010. But those who love Owl City will be more than psyched for the news about his upcoming album.
