On Monday, Justin Bieber used his Facebook and Twitter accounts to post a link to a video that leaves lasting impression. No, it's not of his latest single -- it's actually a video made by a high school student named Jade, who cuts herself.

In the clip, Jade is holding up index cards while playing the song 'Look What You've Done' by Jet. The cards explain that the freshman isn't as happy as she looks. Her classmates call her terrible names, which have hurt her so much that she's resorted to self-injury. She even shows the camera her wounds.
Justin saw this and felt that it was important to share with all of his fans. "Think before you say something hurtful to someone else," he wrote. "It may look like they're ok but they're not. Words are more powerful than you think."

Last month, we reported that teens have been uploading self-injury videos to YouTube, but this time, Jade is using her situation to help let others know how detrimental words can be. Bullying doesn't have to be physical; it can be verbal, too.

Watch Jade's powerful video below. What do you think of her message? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
