In the last episode of 'Glee,' New Directions wowed the judges at Regionals with their original songs, which ultimately scored them the first-place win. Naturally, 'Loser Like Me' and 'Get It Right' sailed to the top of the iTunes Top Songs chart this week, but should the cast continue to release more original tunes in the future?

Gleeks everywhere loved the original songs. How do we know? Well, 'Loser Like Me' hit the No. 1 spot on the iTunes chart, while 'Get It Right' came in at No. 2. 'Hell to the No' also broke the Top 10, charting at No. 8.
'Glee: The Music, Volume 5,' which includes the original works debuted at No. 3 on Billboard's Top 200 Album chart this week. Of course, the playlist is comprised of many Season 2 hits, but the original 'Glee' songs undoubtedly played a part it its successful sales numbers, too.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, 'Glee' music producer Adam Anders said more new songs could possibly be written for show, but don't get too excited just yet, Gleeks. "Obviously [Ryan Murphy's] setting up Lea as a songwriter so you'll see her writing songs from time to time," Adam explained. "But every week? No. I mean [Ryan] hasn't said either way to me but if I were to guess I'd say no."

What do you think? Should there be more original songs on 'Glee' or do you like hearing covers? Who would you want to hear sing a solo original song? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
