Taylor Swift is expanding her list of movie credits, and we couldn't be more excited. The country star has been cast as the voice of Audrey in the upcoming animated adaptation of Dr. Seuss' 'The Lorax.'

Taylor will join an all-star ensemble in the 3D film, which includes Zac Efron, and is slated to be released on March 2, 2012. Fans of the original tale about the hopeful forest creature will find many similarities between the movie and the Dr. Seuss book, but with an added twist.
The new movie is said to follow "a boy who searches for the one thing that will help him win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it, he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world."

Zac will star as the idealistic boy, Ted, while Taylor will play his love interest, Audrey. Danny Devito will voice the Lorax, Ed Helms will play the Once-ler and Betty White will be the actress behind Ted's wise Grammy Norma.

Taylor appeared on a 2009 episode of 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,' and most notably starred alongside her then-boyfriend Taylor Lautner in 2010's 'Valentine's Day.' 'The Lorax' will be the singer's first role in an animated film.
