'Soul Surfer' is opening in theaters next month, and now we have an exclusive clip from the film, starring AnnaSophia Robb as the inspiring teen surfer, Bethany Hamilton, who lost her arm from a shark attack in 2003.
In the clip, we see Bethany shopping for new bikinis with her friend. The girls contemplate a few different styles, and then get super excited when they realize that the cost will be covered by the surfer's new sponsor, Rip Curl.
'Soul Surfer' tells Bethany's triumphant story, showing that with a little determination and heart, nothing can stand in the way of your dreams. Less than one month after her accident, the Hawaii native began surfing again, and went on to win first place at the NSSA National Championships in 2005.
The movie also stars country singer Carrie Underwood as Sarah, a church youth group leader with whom Bethany makes an eye-opening trip to Thailand after the 2004 tsunami. This is the 'American Idol' alum's motion picture debut.
