Lauren Conrad's new reality show may have been canceled, but the fashion designer and author is keeping herself busy with another project. The former 'Hills' star has launched TheBeautyDepartment.com, a brand-new beauty website for girls.
"Growing up, I never really learned how to do my hair and makeup correctly and the results weren't always great," Lauren said in a release. "Our goal with The Beauty Department is to provide girls and young women with a basic how-to of simplified versions of popular trends and styles that they can recreate themselves."
According to PopEater, the site is a collaboration between Lauren, her hairstylist, Kristin Ess, and her makeup artist, Amy Nadine. "We are so excited to be launching thebeautydepartment.com!" the girls wrote. "This is a site for anyone who's ever had a beauty question or gotten into a fight with a hair brush and lost."
The Beauty Department will be a place for girls to get how-tos and advice on hair, makeup and skin care, as well as information on the latest beauty trends. So far, we've seen some great tips, and love the simple design of the site.
