Chris Colfer
has written the pilot for a new Disney Channel show called 'The Little Leftover Witch,' which is based on Florence Laughlin's children's book of the same name, reports Deadline.

The series follows a young witch who has a crash-landing on her broom, and is taken in by a welcoming family. The show will begin shooting shortly, says the site.
But this isn't the 20-year-old's first foray into screenwriting. Chris also wrote an indie flick called 'Struck By Lightning,' which he will reportedly shoot over the summer after wrapping production on 'Glee' and finishing his 'Glee Live! In Concert!' tour dates.

"I wrote it for the kids in high school who are overachieving in their own right and under-appreciated for it, just like I was," he says of his film.

Chris isn't the only screenwriter among the cast of 'Glee' -- Dianna Agron is credited with writing (and directing and producing) a short film called 'A Fuchsia Elephant.' We always knew these guys were a multi-talented bunch.
