Twelve performers have been announced as the talented contenders for Oxygen's new show, 'The Glee Project.' The hopefuls will battle it out for a seven-episode guest starring role on season three of 'Glee.'
In this picture, we get our first look at the contestants, who range in age from 18 to 22. From the back to front, left to right, the photo shows Damian, Bryce, Samuel, Alex, Emily, Lindsay, Hannah, Cameron, McKynleigh, Ellis, Matheus and Marissa.
The contenders were selected from thousands of entrants, and while some have professional experience, others are amateurs. The mixed group will be trained over the course of 10 episodes, and every moment of their journey will be captured along the way.
Each week, the performers will be assessed in intensive singing, dancing and acting assignments, and 'Glee' creatives Ryan Murphy, casting director Robert Ulrich and choreographer/co-producer Zach Woodleewill will ultimately choose who ends up with the sweet role on the hit Fox series.
Of course, 'Glee' cast members will also be appearing as mentors for the contestants. First up is Darren Criss, who will be a part of the series premiere. Yes! 'The Glee Project' airs on Sunday, June 12 at 9 p.m. ET on Oxygen. Find out more info about each of the contenders here.
