Selena Gomez is getting ready for the release of her new album, new movie 'Monte Carlo' and prepping for the launch of her summer tour, and until then, her schedule is jam-packed. On Monday, MuchMusic announced that the 18-year-old will be co-hosting the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards.

"I am thrilled and honored to host the MuchMusic Video Awards," Selena said in a press release. "I look forward to seeing all my Canadian fans and kicking off the summer together."
The Canadian awards show celebrates the best in music videos, much like the MTV Video Music Awards does. Selena will also be performing at the event with her band, The Scene (we're crossing our fingers for a Justin Bieber appearance). Lady Gaga has also been announced as a featured performer that evening.

Selena's is going to have one hot summer. In addition to her sweet co-hosting gig, her third studio album is due out June 28, and 'Monte Carlo' is set to open in theaters on July 1. Then, she'll be hitting the road on July 24 through for her We Own The Night tour with Allstar Weekend.

Phew! Check out Selena's emcee skills on 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards, airing on Sunday, June 19 at 9 p.m. ET on MuchMusic and Fuse. %Poll-63262%
