The Maine Discuss New Album and First Week Touring With Augustana -- Road Report
Fans of The Maine have been rocking out to the sweet sounds of their latest album, 'Black & White,' and now the boys are hitting the road on a co-headlining tour with Augustana. The Arizona five-piece kicked off their six-week North American run on May 12, and will be checking in with JSYK all along the way.
In their first tour blog, the guys are enjoying a day off, so bassist Garrett Nickelsen takes a moment to recap the week's events. So far, everything is going really well, and the band has plenty of thoughts and personal photos to share with you.
But the best part about this Road Report is that Garrett also opens up about the band's forthcoming album, which they plan to record after they complete their tour with Augustana. Get all the sweet deets in their first entry below.
Well hello friendly reader. I'm sitting on a tour bus somewhere between northern Florida and Atlanta, Georgia. We are having our second off day from our co-headlining tour with Augustana.
We're only a week into it and I wouldn't want to be out with anyone else. Every band is full of really amazing musicians, and overall it's a great group of guys to hang out with. Austin Gibbs, who is playing second every night released his record a few days ago. I highly suggest you go purchase it on iTunes right now!
After this tour is done, we get to go record for a new album. I think everyone in the band is so excited to get in the studio again. There are a lot of ideas flying around and I can't wait to see what we put down on tape. Well, my stomach is yelling at me to get some Buffalo Wild Wings. Hope you had a great week! Here are a few pictures I've taken so far of life on the road!!
