The Maine Put Blood and Sweat Into Their Tour With Augustana -- Road Report
The Maine have been rocking out all around the country on their co-headlining tour with Augustana, and so far, the North American run has been nothing but good times.
The Arizona five-piece have been checking in with JSYK throughout their trek, and in their latest entry, bassist Garrett Nickelsen not only talks about a bloody moment in Philadelphia, Pa., but also offers more insight into the band's as-yet-untitled album!
Find out what he has to say, and check out new photos from the tour (warning: there's one shot that might make you queasy), in The Maine's third Road Report below.
Hello from Cincinnati! I hope you've been having a great week! It has been a pretty crazy week on this tour; some of the best shows we have ever played happened. Sometimes that comes with a little pain, though. In all the madness, I somehow cut my hand open a few times. It kinda looked like a massacre happened on top on my bass. The show in Philly was so insane, I really had no idea I was bleeding.
During sound checks, we have been starting to jam some new songs. It has been a little strange because its seems as soon as we get into a little bit of a groove we have to be done. I guess it's a good thing we get a little time at home to mess with stuff before we head to El Paso and finish up the record. I really can't wait!
Well I need to grab some lunch! Hopefully you come back and read next week! Have a epic weekend, and a glorious week full of amazing food ... or maybe some great basketball? I hope I get both! SEE YA! -Garrett Daniel Nickelsen
