Dakota Fanning had something to celebrate yesterday -- her graduation day! The 17-year-old wore a royal blue cap and gown for the ceremony honoring Campbell Hall's Class of 2011.

According to PopEater, Dakota received her diploma at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles along with her classmates at the North Hollywood private school. As we've previously reported, Dakota has always made school a top priority, even while pursuing her acting career.
Despite starring in the 'Twilight' movies, Dakota has kept things real by being a member of her school's varsity cheerleading squad and attending her prom. She was voted homecoming queen two years in a row, and even skipped an 'Eclipse' screening last year in order to take her ACT test.

As for her future plans, New York University's blog reports that the actress was accepted into the school's Gallatin School of Individualized Study and will be "enrolling next fall." Congratulations, Dakota!
