The Maine Head West, Record Demos for New Album -- Road Report
The Maine have been rocking out all around the country on their co-headlining tour with Augustana, and now things are coming to an end. The Arizona five-piece have been checking in with JSYK throughout their run, and in their latest entry, bassist Garrett Nickelsen talks about getting ready to head home.
The boys have been demoing new songs for their upcoming record, which is super exciting, but we'll let Garrett tell you all about it. Check out The Maine's new Road Report, complete with a fresh set photos from the tour, below.
Hello Earth, what a great week it has been! We have started to make our way to the West. I kinda feel like Louis & Clark (if Louis & Clark travled in a bus that is) traveling across the U.S. with a bunch of bearded dudes. It is so crazy to see mountains with snow on top of them in June. I am pretty sure back home in Phoenix it's already 110 degrees out. We have about 10 days left so I should get my tank tops ready for the AZ heat.
We worked on a few demos of new songs on our last day off. Who knows if we will ever even record some of these songs but I really couldn't be more excited. I can't wait to work on everything all together in a room, not just in the back lounge of a bus. I need some loud drums in my life!!
Thanks for checking out the blog! We only have one more week of tour. I hope this last week is the best! -Garrett
