Taylor Swift Gives Fans a Behind-the-Scenes Look at Her 'Mean' Video
Taylor Swift let fans inside her video for 'Mean' over the weekend when a 30-minute behind-the-scenes special featuring the country star aired on GACTV.
'Mean' was shot at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles where elaborate sets were built for the 'Speak Now' video. "The first time I saw these sets, I absolutely couldn't believe it," Taylor said. "There are so many moments over a course of a day where I look at something or see something, and I just can't believe I get to be around people who do stuff like this."
Taylor also revealed that she wrote the treatment for the video by thinking about "mean" moments that people can experience in life. As you know by now, this resulted in three distinct stories in the video.
"Visually, it just goes with everything I've been obsessed with lately ... theaters and productions," she continued about the concept. "It really tells stories that to me really matter. It's also just really fun. I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out."
