The event is the brainchild of Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, designed to boost the retail industry and the economy. It began in New York in 2009, and has since expanded to over 100 cities and globally into 15 countries.
According to Page Six, Anna's daughter, Bee Shaffer, is an associate managing producer at Ryan Murphy's production company, and was the one who came up with the idea to connect the show with the event.
This year online shopping sites like Net-a-Porter, Shopbop and others, will also participate in Fashion's Night Out for the very first time. For more info on where you can catch the 'Glee' stars in person, visit FashionsNightOut.com
