'The Hunger Games' is one of the most highly anticipated movies of 2012, so it's no surprise that it will come with an awesome soundtrack, but who will make the cut?

According to Reuters, Lionsgate has partnered with Universal Republic Records to release an album comprised of music from the movie and songs inspired by the film. There also will be an official score penned by T Bone Burnett and composer Danny Elfman.
The inspired soundtrack will be produced by T Bone and include "some of music's most successful and acclaimed artists," said Tracy McKnight, Lionsgate's head of music. However, no artists have been announced.

We've seen similar album releases from the 'Twilight' films, which have featured songs from Muse, Paramore, OK Go, Metric and more, so there's a great opportunity to tie some great artists to the 'Hunger Games' series.

Which band or artist would you most want to hear on the soundtrack? Who would fit the series the best? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
