Miranda Cosgrove Breaks Ankle in Tour Bus Accident, Postpones Dates
Miranda Cosgrove's tour bus was involved in a car accident on Thursday morning in Illinois, just outside of Vandalia.
"There were five passengers on the bus, and Miranda suffered a broken ankle," the Miranda's rep said in a statement. "At the time, we are told everyone will be fine."
However, the crash has forced the 18-year-old singer to put a hold on her touring plans. "Her tour is postponed until further notice," the rep adds. "Miranda thanks everyone for their understanding and support."
According to StlToday.com, a tractor-trailer was overturned into a highway median on I-70 at about 4:40 a.m. Miranda's tour bus then struck part of the tractor-trailer that was blocking one of the lanes. Master Sergeant Tim Hodge said five or six people suffered injuries, including two people flown by helicopter to a St. Louis hospital.
Miranda's Dancing Crazy tour was set to hit Wichita, Kan. on Friday and wrap on August 26 in Davis, Calif. We hope she and the other injured parties recover quickly!
