Parachute's Will Anderson Opens Up About Co-Headlining Tour With Kate Voegele and More (Exclusive)
Parachute are gearing up to hit the road on a co-headlining tour with Kate Voegele, and we got the chance to talk to lead singer Will Anderson about the upcoming trek and more.
"We couldn't be more excited about the tour with Kate," he tells JSYK exclusively. "I just think it's going to be the best tour we've ever had. The fans are excited. We're playing better live together as a band than we ever have before, and with the new album have a ton of material to draw from."
He adds, "Needless to say, I think it's going to be great teaming up with Kate, too. She's awesome and I think both our fans and hers will really enjoy both of us."
Parachute released their sophomore album, 'The Way It Was,' earlier this year and have been riding on the success of songs like 'What I Know' and 'Kiss Me Slowly,' the latter of which was co-written by Lady Antebellum.
"I can't let the cat out of the bag and say exactly who 'Kiss Me Slowly' is about (and it IS about a very specific person whom a lot of people know), but 'Kiss Me Slowly' was simply inspired by my friend who I have always thought was so great and lovely even with the scars and imperfections that came as a result of past attempts with love," Will admits about the song. "Honestly, I just felt like she deserved a song for herself, so I sat down and wrote it about her."
Parachute kicks off their upcoming tour on October 10 in Philadelphia, Pa, wrapping things up on November 9 in Dallas, Texas. Until then, they'll be finishing out their tour with the Goo Goo Dolls and Michelle Branch.
