Jack's Mannequin Releases Trailer for New Album 'People and Things'
Andrew McMahon has been on quite a journey with his band, Jack's Mannequin, and now he's set to release his third full-length album, 'People and Things.' To celebrate the big day, the 28-year-old has just unveiled a new trailer for the record that explains, well, everything.
In the clip, we see Andrew running in Brooklyn, New York while a voice-over plays. "Seven years ago I started making music for a project they call Jack's Mannequin. I was 22 years old," he says. "I wanted to tell a story. After that point, the story was pretty interesting. My high school band had become teen idols. We toured and recorded constantly. Eventually, things came apart."
The singer-songwriter touches upon his battle with leukemia, and the music that he wrote while going through the life-changing ordeal. "In my life, when things fall apart, things start coming together," he adds.
Ultimately, his experiences have inspired yet another personal album, which is due out on October 4. The first single, 'My Racing Thoughts,' is available on iTunes now, and fans can expect a new video to go along with it around the time of the album release.
