It looks like there won't be an iPhone 5 like all the rumors suggested, but a new iPhone 4S!
It was announced
this morning that Apple would be releasing the follow up to the iPhone 4 on October 14. Not only will the iPhone 4S be available for AT&T and Verizon, but it will also now be carried by Sprint.
So the main thing most people want to know is probably what's different with the new iPhone. Here's your answer:
The phone will include Apple's dual-core A5 chip for blazing fast performance and stunning graphics; an all new camera with advanced optics; full 1080p HD resolution video recording; and Siri™, an intelligent assistant that helps you get things done just by asking. The iPhone will also come with the new iOS 5, the world's most advanced mobile operating system with over 200 new features; and iCloud®, a breakthrough set of free cloud services that work with your iPhone, iPad®, iPod touch®, Mac® or PC to automatically and wirelessly store your content in iCloud and push it to all your devices.
"iPhone 4S plus iOS 5 plus iCloud is a breakthrough combination that makes the iPhone 4S the best iPhone ever," said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. "While our competitors try to imitate iPhone with a checklist of features, only iPhone can deliver these breakthrough innovations that work seamlessly together."
That sounds pretty exciting! The iPhone 4S will be available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB configurations for $199, $299 and $399, respectively. Consumers will also have the option of black and white. For even more details on the new iPhone, head over to Engadget
