Nick Jonas' worlds will collide when he stars in NBC's new Broadway musical-themed series, 'Smash.' The singer/actor, who is no stranger to the stage, has been cast as Lyle West, a character with a child star past.

The role is perfect for the Jonas Brother, who has starred in productions of 'Annie Get Your Gun,' 'Les Miserables,' 'Beauty and the Beast,' 'A Christmas Carol' and 'The Sound of Music.' In fact, the 19-year-old just landed the lead in 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,' a gig that will begin in 2012.
When word of 'Smash' first hit the scene, it was quickly compared to 'Glee,' but after a trailer for the upcoming show premiered in May, it was clear that the Steven Spielberg-produced project would explore different territory.

We're excited to see Nick in his new role. Check out the trailer for the series below, and get ready for 'Smash' to premiere on February 6 at 10PM on NBC.
