Heather Morris is Seventeen magazine's new cover girl, and in the upcoming issue, the 'Glee' star opens up about losing her father when she was 14 years old.

"It made me grow up in a different way," she explains in the exclusive interview. "My mom and I are really close because of it, so I'm glad I have a good relationship with her, but I definitely went through a lot of phases."

Dealing with the loss affected the now 24-year-old in many different ways, and was very taxing on her emotions, but the talented star says she used her passion to help cope with the pain.

She adds, "At times, I didn't care at all and I went to school in my pajamas and I cried. But then I cut it out and I focused on my dancing. I was in dance class all the time."
That dedication helped make her into the incredible dancer that she is today. Want to find out more about what Heather has to say about 'Glee,' boys and life? Grab a copy of the November issue of Seventeen, which hits newsstands on October 18.
