The 19-year-old entered into treatment last year to get help for emotional and physical issues, but she is now happy and healthy.
"I feel amazing. I feel really happy and healthy," she told Access Hollywood Live yesterday. "Life is beautiful and I can't complain."
So what was the breaking point for Ms. Lovato? "The breaking point for me was, I was just tired, I was out of the country and I was away from my family, things had just built up to a point. I was unhealthy," she said. "When you're putting on concerts and you're not eating, you know, that will take a toll on you, and it did and I snapped and I regret it to this day... I made a really poor decision and it landed me in treatment. Treatment was the best decision that I ever made and it saved my life."
Now Demi is back and getting ready to head out on her "Unbroken Tour" next month. She tells Parade magazine, "I'm so excited to get back on the road. With this tour, I'll be playing piano and guitar and dancing to songs from my new album."
So, after the tour, what are Demi's plans for the next year? "Over the next year, I just want to continue to tour and have fun with music. Acting will come second. Music is my number one passion and I want to stick to music for a while."
